Beginning on or around July 22, 2025, Northwoods Excavating, Inc. of Thetford, VT will install a new, larger culvert at the end of Illsley Road (north of #91 Illsley Road). The project is expected to be completed by the beginning of August 2025. The planned work includes:
- Construction of a temporary road (downstream of the culvert)
- Excavation and setting of the culvert and wing walls
- Gravel work, ditch work, guardrail installation, cleanup, seeding & mulching
- Removal of the temporary road
Illsley Road will remain open to vehicles during construction. However, drivers should expect occasional short delays, especially during the setting of the culvert and guardrail installation. The contractor will notify residents in advance of any road closures.
NOTE: Emergency services will take precedence over any temporary road closures.
