Selectboard Minutes Taker The Town of Norwich seeks to hire a Minutes Taker to attend Selectboard meetings and prepare minutes. Regular Selectboard meetings occur at 6:30 pm on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, with occasional additional special meetings. Meetings are currently conducted in-person at Tracy Hall and electronically via Zoom. Pay rate for the position is $25.00 per hour depending upon experience and qualifications. The Minutes Taker will attend all regular (twice monthly) Selectboard meetings. Attendance at special meetings will be agreed upon as needed. The Minutes Taker will be expected to arrive at Tracy Hall 10 minutes prior to start of a meeting and submit completed minutes to the Town Manager’s office electronically by 4:00 pm on the Friday after a meeting. According to Vermont’s Open Meeting Law, “minutes must cover all topics and motions that arise at the meeting and give a true indication of the business of the meeting”, but they need not be an exact transcription.
