Vermont State statute requires that every property in town be assessed at its “fair market value” for the Grand List. The taxes generated for the Town and School budgets are based on the final Total Real Estate Value of the Grand List.
“The Town of Norwich, Vermont is soliciting bids for a town-wide reappraisal. The RFP, proposal format and proposed contract for your review and response are posted on the Town of Norwich website – HERE. The deadline for the receipt of bids is twelve o’clock noon on Friday, October 1, 2021.
While it is our desire to conduct this reappraisal as soon as possible, we remain flexible on the timing. We want to select the firm with the best fit for this very important reappraisal work on behalf of the Norwich property owners. We invite you to respond at your earliest convenience.
