Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held April 22nd at 6:30 PM in person at Tracy Hall and via Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81307504748 to hear the following:

PUBLIC HEARING
To Solicit Testimony on the Proposed Interim Bylaw to Regulate Short-Term Rental in the Town of Norwich

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Planning Commission, having recognized that the current land-use regulations contain no provisions for Short-Term Rentals, has proposed an interim bylaw regulating this use, which, if adopted, shall be limited in duration to two years from the date it becomes effective. 

A legislative body may adopt interim bylaws regulating land development in all or a part of the municipality in order to protect the public health, safety, and general welfare and provide for orderly physical and economic growth. These interim bylaws shall be adopted by the legislative body of the municipality after public hearing upon public notice as an emergency measure. 24 V.S.A. § 4415

GEOGRAPHIC AREA
All lands within the Town of Norwich are affected by this interim measure.
