Road Work in Norwich

Route 132 Road Closure: Starting on Monday, August 8 at 6 am, Route 132 in Norwich Vermont will be closed for one week between Union Village Road and US Route 5.  The road will only be open to local traffic to allow the installation of a concrete box culvert. A detour will be provided, and a sign package will be set up onsite to direct through traffic to Union Village Rd to Main St to US Route 5. There may be increased traffic on Main St and larger trucks being present due to the detour. The entire project should be completed by Friday, August 12, 2022.

Paved Road Crack Sealing: In our ongoing efforts to extend the life of our paved road system in Norwich, we will be having a contractor performing crack sealing operations throughout various town roads in Norwich starting this Wednesday, August 10 through Friday, August 12.  These dates are subject to change based on rain events.  This is a mobile operation and therefore the contractor will be moving around continuously though town.  Please be prepared to stop occasionally.
