New Boston Rd – Detours for Paving starting Friday, June 9, 2023

On Friday, June 9, 2023, starting at 6 am the Norwich Public Works Department will be working with a contractor to pave the recent four road culvert cuts on New Boston Road.  The culverts cuts are located near the intersection of Turnpike Road and extend northward pass Douglas Road.  The work will require a temporary road closure to traffic from 6 am to approximately 3 pm.  A detour package will direct traffic around onto Union Village Rd and then onto Route 132 to Stowell Rd to Norford Lake Rd and finally back to New Boston Rd.  This will be a delay of at least 20 minutes (adding approximately 10 miles to the travel to Douglas Rd off New Boston Rd).
